TO THE CLOSING INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE CARNIVORA DINARICA PROJECT
WITH THE GRAND OPENING OF THE DINA, LARGE CARNIVORES CENTRE IN PIVKA
The conference will take place on Monday, 2 August 2021 at the Krpanov dom multipurpose centre in Pivka, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Representatives of the project will present the results of the “Carnivora Dinarica – Cross-border cooperation and ecosystem services for the long-term preservation of large carnivore populations in the northern Dinarides” project (Interreg V-A Slovenia-Croatia), while you will also have the opportunity to listen to lectures by foreign and local experts on topics related to the challenges we have been examining for the past three years:
– concretisation of the cross-border management of large carnivores,
– reducing risks that threaten large carnivores, and
– understanding the role of large carnivores and their different ecosystem services.
The closing international conference will be followed by the grand opening of the DINA Centre for large carnivores in Pivka, with a presentation of the Centre.
